Duration: 5–10 days · BNFc caps paediatric doses at 250 mg; for otitis media some guidelines allow 15 mg/kg (max 500 mg) twice daily.

Duration: Per clinical response · 20 mg/kg (max 750 mg) every 8 hours for less severe infection; 50 mg/kg (max 1.5 g) for severe infection.
